Personally, I think the guy single-handedly made the event matter for people here in the States. Hopefully, his effect will last after his retirement. I especially liked the ending and massive pile up :p kinda feel sorry for Mengin who was in front of pelaton for so long and then felt only 700m to finish. qdave Posted July 8, 2005 Share Posted July 8, 2005 well Aussie robbie Mcewen won once again. damn he is a good sprinter. i was sorta hoping that one of german riders like Jan Ulrich will make a move but unfortunately he didnt. as always tehre were some crashes, once when crossing railway tracks and other near finish and that looked painfull. But I wouldn't expect to be able to tell the difference between .0002 seconds in a bike race, no matter how fast they can pedal (that's humanly possible :p).
