nope no new controls. you use your standard control buttons just use the coloured buttons to control stop.play/pause ff and reverse.

tv replay part of the service is cool. but they are still rolling the service out so dont expect every channel to be put up for the replay feature.

only living tv/challange and bravo inc the bbc channels are for replay at the moment.

but its cool . cant wate for telewest to launch there PVR like sky+ in early 2006 so i was told by a t/w rep

That's all well and good but yet again they're behind the market, Sky+ is already in place and has been for several months. They need to catch up.

Only reason I say this is the fact they are slowly making my internet connection seem like a has been by not upgrading their lines, seems to be taking them forever, while every other company storms ahead.

I wouldn't mind this package, yet to see if it will work seemlessly. I seem to have a delay when I change channels with Blueyonder, it always lags and ends up a few channels ahead of itself when pressing the remote. VERY ANNOYING! but I have mastered it now though. lol

The new Explorer 8300DVB PVR will incorporate a DOCSIS? tuner for high-speed data access, as well as three video tuners to allow Telewest Broadband?s customers to record three separate programs simultaneously or record two programs while watching a third - a step forward from the popular dual tuner solution in other Scientific-Atlanta PVRs. The set-top also provides two video decoders, which enables the user to watch a channel while archiving a previously recorded program to a VCR tape. In addition, the 8300DVB PVR will decode High-Definition Television (HDTV) signals, which will help Telewest Broadband to retain its leadership in the deployment of innovative products.

Since this seems to be about television and not cable internet access, I think I'll move it.

BPN should be closely linked to the Personal Computer oriented topics of the front page.
