Correctly answering this question requires a "no", as Linux doesn't install on a Windows partition (with a few oddball exceptions). You can remove the partition formerly known as D:, then let Linux install into the empty unpartitioned space. It will typically create two or three partitions. Just accept the defaults, and you will be fine. The advantage of having your other partitions in FAT format is that you will be able to read and write to them from Linux, should you want to, to share data between your OSes.
