Outlook 2002: Rules

Question

Hi everyone;

I've just installed Outlook 2002, and have decided to use a set of rules to place email into specifc folders.

Ok, i've got one rule:

"Place all mail from [redmak@neowin.net] into the 'NeoWin post's folder'"

Ok, now the rule works! when i click on "Run Now" in the Rules diaglog box, but I ant the rule to run everytime I tart Outlook or do a Send/Recieve.

Is this possible?

At the momement, i have to manually run the "Run Now" button, which is stupid!

If anyone can help me out on this problem, i'd really appreciate it.

Tanks for reading this.

If you are using the rules wizard, make sure that the 'turn on this rule' box is checked on the last setup screen for the rule.

EDIT: Or just make sure its checked in the rules list. Why did it take lazydesert to remind me that was there?

right....

It's fixed now, i had forget to make sure they were checked to work :cheeky:

One more question...

Is there a way to create a rule that will only put email in the "Inbox" folder if the contact is in my address book?

Just a though.

Thanks for the time guys

Yup :)

In the 'Which condition(s) do you want to check?' screen, the 2nd from the bottom option is 'sender is in specified address book'.

Just specify your address book :ninja:
