Max Veteran Posted July 4, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 4, 2005 When I installed Firefox ages ago it imported all my IE favourites automatically. Since then, many different bookmarks have accumulated in each browser, some being the same. How can I combine them so that I can manage them from one central location/folder? CoolCatBad
You can't really centralize them as they are in totally different formats. You can use things like Bookmark Bridge to periodically merge them http://bookmarkbridge.sourceforge.net/ or LinkSync will do it in real-time http://spaces.msn.com/members/kodosan/
swordsman74
Have you considered using Yahoo Bookmarks? There is a plugin for both IE and Firefox. I have been using it for years and it is the best, most effective way I have found to always have my bookmarks available to me. Even if I am at a friend's house, I can just log into bookmarks.yahoo.com and they are all available to me. Try it out - maybe it will work for you. em_te
You can import your Firefox bookmarks into IE and then use the PlainOldFavorites extension, which allows you to access your Favorites from within Firefox. You can also add bookmarks to your Favorites at the same time.
IceDogg
I just stopped in to see if anyone had suggested this extension yet. I used it for a while and it works really good. Good suggestion em_te!
