Firefox 1.0.4 won't auto login to Neowin

Recommended Posts

It always makes me input it myself, every single time after I close the browser. it used to work, but I reformatted and now it makes me type it in. I have cleared everything a bunch of times, but still doesn't work. help!

Im using Firefox 1.0.4 myself i have no problems of using the auto login to Neowin.

Try this

Go to Saved passwords, then view saved passwords if you see neowin.net and your user name remove it click ok. then go to the cookies options, clear all your cookies. make sure have allow sites to set cookies and for the originating web site only checked. and have the option keep cookies: have it on ask me everytime. just make sure not to block out neowin cookies. hope that helps.

Do you run any kind of cleaning programs, like ccleaner or something that might be cleaning your cookies and you just not knowing it? If no continue on.

Do you have the problem on other sites or only neowin.net? if no continue on

This shouldn't make any difference, but in my experience it sometimes does. The box that says "From originating web site only" try unchecking that (I think you have to restart Firefox after you uncheck it for it to take affect).

Do you have any cookie related extensions installed? (I had been assuming you don't since you just reformatted)

then if all else fails you may have to do what Matt A. Tobin said and try another profile. If you do this, first thing I would do is test this problem to make sure it works before spending a lot of time moving your bookmarks, extensions and other things over.

These suggestions are made assuming you tried the others mentions above by other people.

sure hope something helps you out. Keep us posted. :D
