maplecookie Veteran Posted July 6, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 6, 2005 I don't know if this is my computer, or IE which is why I'm posting. Off and on IE seems to glitch, or something happens, and all of my scroll bars disappear! Even as I type this, the message box has no scroll bars (I entered down quite a bit and they never appeared). I took a screenshot of it and pointed to where the scroll bars would be. They appear gray because they are totally see through and it was against a gray background. I'm just curious if there is a fix. If not, I guess I'll just have to live with invisible scroll bars! lol Oh and by the way...I use IE half of the time, and Firefox the other half (I go both ways, lol) so don't tell me to use Firefox...I already do. :p I just want to know if there is a fix for this. Thanks!

galoosh33
Weird, I've never seen something like this... Re-installing IE should fix it IMO.

I agree with the comment to reinstall IE. Its worth a try in any case.
maplecookie Veteran Posted July 8, 2005 Author Veteran Share Posted July 8, 2005 I'll try reinstalling this afternoon and see if it fixes it. It's annoying.
galoosh33
Hold on, does it only happen when you're browsing Neowin? ^.^
maplecookie Veteran Posted July 11, 2005 Author Veteran Share Posted July 11, 2005 Hold on, does it only happen when you're browsing Neowin? ^.^ 586184684 No, it happens all of the time. And the tech guy hasn't gotten around to reinstalling IE for me and sadly I never have time to do it myself. Well, I guess I should say, I don't want to. Everytime I attempt to change something on this computer, it messes it up. Even when it *shouldn't* mess it up. The tech guy considers me a troublemaker. lol I guess it's a good thing we live together. :p Hopefully he can fix it soon and this will stop happening. If it isn't XP, are you running WindowBlinds to use the Luna skin shown in the screenshot?

Spielo
What are you talking about, ofcourse it's XP.gl to the tech guy ;) 586202066 Not nececarily, the windows flag in the corner of the browser implies that it may not be XP. My IE flag is white, with the XP style windows logo; I'm not sure if this was changed at some point in an SP though...

maplecookie Veteran Posted July 12, 2005 Author Veteran Share Posted July 12, 2005 It's XP, yes it's luna. As for the throbber, I believe I changed that because I was bored with the other one. I used to have a Neowin one. Well the tech guy reinstalled IE for me and so far no problems. Well, a few, but I'll post those tomorrow in a new thread! lol
