0 atomb Posted June 27, 2002 Share Posted June 27, 2002 the sysoc.inf will only allow you to remove the IE6 icon, not the browsers the way to reinstall OE6 is to put your XP cd in your drive and reboot. make sure your bios shows that your cd drive is first boot device. now the first screen of setup you press whatever key it says to install windows, i think it's Enter. next screen is the EULA just press F8 to get past it. then it should say something in regards to: setup has detected an install of windows on the drive. what would you like to do? press R for repair. it'll reinstall windows without formating the drive and all your applications will still work. done this many times with complete success. only once on my own system, but many times at work with customers.
