Busman401
Lawsuits, lawsuits, lawsuits....I'm sick and tired of it. 586181969 I totally agree. Ridiculous.
L3thal Veteran Posted July 9, 2005 Author Veteran Share Posted July 9, 2005 That it was a fetal accident? 586182930 Exactly, but further questions will arise that will question how he died.
FudgeMonkey
I was in a similar position myself once. My partner had to have a lumber puncture and I was asked to comfort her while the doctor took the fluid. I hate needles, all kinds, and when i saw the size of the thing he had to stick in her back i think i went whiter than her. Still i held out ok, mainly because that male ego kicked in tfft. Anyway the doctor then asked ME to hold the tube that the fluid goes into and keep it steady, this is attached to her back. Well i didn't have the steadiest of hands to say the least but all went well. Legally i don't think there's much to go on, mebbe somthing to do with why there were no staff available to do what the husband was doing but i doubt it. Danny1810
At the risk of being in really bad, bad taste...He died during childbirth. That it was a fetal accident? 586182930    the sad thing is that she will probably win. Somone in the area should watch the story and keep us updated

Read the other posts. They asked, he fainted. Kaiser is huge and can afford OJ Simpson caliber attorneys. I doubt it will get to court. It will probably get thrown out. Boffa Jones Veteran Posted July 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 12, 2005 Wow, if he had lived he would have probably gone into shock if he saw childbirth. I had to learn how to do it and it is probably the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Yeah sure its 'beautiful' but its worse than any 3rd degree burns I saw and intestines that come out of a stomach cut. On top of that is the placenta which I wasn't even aware of until learning how to deliver it.

waurbind
that lawsuit is just rediculous(sp?) he did it of his free will, if i had chosen to jump off a bridge and noone told me not to, should i sue them?
Boffa Jones Veteran Posted July 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 12, 2005 squeemish ay? 586199722 No gory things I saw in that class bothered me, but for some reason seeing something that I usally associate with sex and awesomeness during childbirth turned me off for days lol. I could do it but it is not a pretty sight.
gigapixels Veteran Posted July 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 12, 2005 She can't sue over this. Firstly, he was not FORCED to help out; I'm sure they didn't tell him that he would have to help otherwise his child wouldn't be born. If he knew that he couldn't take it then he shouldn't have helped in the first place. Secondly, he was not FORCED to look at the needle. As was said before, he could have looked at her face and held her hand, neglecting the sight of the needle. She's never going to win this lawsuit. I feel for her, but she's trying to milk it for more than it's worth.
