wtf is up with IE6? Launching a link in a new window causes that windo


Question

I dunno whats goin on but for me if u click on a link that opens in a new window or tell one to, that page freezes! Its bugging the hell outta me and i want it to work like it used to! I think it had to do with a WinUpdate, i dunno tho.

Running Win XP Pro.

Anyone know what to do? I'm clueless...

for exa: www.microsoft.com and when i click on that link, and it opens in a new window, it freezes... this is makin me crazy :confused:

maybe it is nView? i didnt have this before, seems to be in the new update for nividia cards.

i have my ****ty geforce 2 mx 200

plz someone help, sick of copy and pasting every link i want to visit....

i had a similar prob when i didnt restart the computer for a few days and explorer did crash once or twice.

a restart solved everything.

or try running adaware to see if any progie is messing up IE.

im not sure either. :)

I'm not sure which one it was causing it, but I believe at one time I had an explorer bar add-in that was causing the same thing. One by one, if you use any, remove them. Also, disable or remove any banner blockers or pop-up killers.

same think happened to me last week. I had to re-install it. now instead of freezing, if more than 2 windows are open in IE, it crashes and the program exits automatically. IE just sucks, thats all there is to it.
