Webpages cached in Opera?

Recommended Posts

I just noticed something.. I have been viewing Neowin quite a bit this evening yet nothing seemed to be updating.. So I cleared the cache and history in Opera and everything updated.. How can I avoid having to do this?? I just want to go to a website, then come back to it with updated stuff... not what was there when I originally came.. This a common thing?? I love Opera.. Just a few quirks..

You can tell Opera to not cache the page but cache the images. Sorry, I don't have Opera at work so I can't points you to exactly where it is. Hunt around in the advanced options for it. You can set the cache settings for pages, images and redirects I think.

Caching is a double-edged sword really.

open preferences and click on advanced then history

from here you can set the cache preferences, I have mine set to

set documents to always

set images to 5 hours

set other to 10 hours

if you want everything to update all the time set all these to always

you can also disable the cache to make opera load everything when you open the browser.
