Yeap, in ResHacker, goto your TEXTFILE Menu, find the one you've modded in this case NORMALALPHA2_INI, go into that textfile, then action>save as binary file.

When saving save it as a .ini extension, open with notepad, then press CTRL F and type in [start::Button] then find CONTENTMARGINS, and replace that whole line with this ContentMargins = -58, 85, 3, 3

Then it should be fine. :)

Thanks goes to bloodwork.

Edit: Are you trying to replace the start button? Because your totally wrong if you are trying to replace the bitmap...

nope just trying to change the margins, thanks :)

(it worked, thanks guys)

i think the problem with the tabs in maxthon is that they arent tall enough. if the height of the tabs was increased or if there were a pixel more of a gap between the bar and the text then i think it would look fine. tabs in deadaim and firefox dont look too bad but i think that if the bar were reposition to be set at the top it would make the theme seem complete.

Not sure what I can do to the context menu - it uses flat colours unfortunately.

I'm working on the tabs atm, trying to get something snazzy :?)

What about giving it that slight fade look on the sides like the other windows have? They have a slightly darker border colour and then 2 tons of grey it looks like.

Yea, I agree... tabs within Windows look fine (the Task Manager for example). But within Maxthon the text and bottom green bar are a little close. But I'm assuming there's nothing that can be done about that, that would be a Maxthon thing right?

Edited by OPaul

It certainly is a Maxthon thing. Check them in Windows, Firefox, Opera etc, there is less space on the top for the green bar than the bottom.

The reason is that tab text is raised 1-2 px on the active tab. Hence, it's more logical to put the bar on the bottom :?)

This might make some people happy (from Gfxoasis):

Wonderful work on this one, b0se. It most definitely deserves a matching Trillian skin... *opens PS* :naughty:

His Opus OS trillian skin was awesome, so I can't wait for this (Y)

WA skin is being worked on also afaik.

Limit: They will be added later on (before final).

Updated tabs, re-download (Y)

They use similar style to normal buttons, and the active tab is a lot brighter.

I'm 100% happy with these (colour still on bottom, and it will stay there, so please no moaning) :?)

Is the green bar supposed to be that long? Before it didn't go to the border of the tab did it?

Shell style is perfect imho. If the left gradient colour matched the toolbar, it would look to dark and the gradient contrast would be too high.

I agree about the seperator, I'll dampen the colours a tad (Y)

586214581[/snapback]

I would make the shellstyle white (like i did in ClearLooks) or make a right to left gradient (white to toolbar color).

This color just doesn't fit in my opinion.

Yes, they are meant to be that long. The tabs are now final.

Schmoove: Nothing I can do about the 1px offset with 'system' dialogs. No idea whats going on with the WLAN page. Looks like shellstyle. I hate shellstyles, and hence, I will not be looking into that.

All white = too gordy, slight gradient breaks it up and points you towards the center of the window.

The WLAN thing is not the shellstyle. In StyleBuilder it is what they call the Explorer Bar. Last section in the sectionbar on the left.

And you can fix the systemdialog captions. You just have to make sure the image you are using for that caption is the same height as you set it under SysMetrics > SMCaptionBarHeight, plus you need to set the margins correct or else things can do all kind of crazy things.

Ok that is your opinion.... I have to disagree. I think a shellstyle as below works great.
