ninjakarl
OK, I was using FF this morning just fine. I put my computer onto hibernate, went to work, came back, turned it on and there was some m$ update asking to restart the computer so I clicked that, restarted computer, logged back in, waited for awhile (my computer is crap and takes ages to load all the stuff that loads), then I started FF and nothing. I looked at my system processes and FIREFOX.EXE was there but it was nowhere to be seen on my screen, I went through my Alt+Tab list and it wasn't there. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be working. Please help.
ninjakarl
I just looked up to the top and saw that 1.0.5 was released, would that be a reason?
Grepus
Ive had that happen before, it's a pain, especially if it wont end the task from task manager, coz it sits there hogging resources, to a very irritating level. Get pskill from www.sysinternals.com (part of the PSTools Suite), browse to the directory it is in from a command prompt then try pskill firefox.exe If it still appears in task manager, you have to, wait for it, Reboot... as I say to many of my clients "As Microsoft once said, welcome to Windows!"
