When you say it worked for your friend, do you mean 1) he d/l it also and it worked for him, then you d/l and it doesn't work.... or 2) did he d/l it and burn it to cd then you try to unrar and it doesn't work?

Answer 1) I would guess corrupted d/l

Answer 2) Iwould guess bad burn to cd

he downloaded it, then i got it from him the same files he used so there shouldnt be a problem, anyway i can fix this cause if not i just wasted bandwith for 1 month without having anything to show for it :ermm:

If it says CRC error, you're missing part of the file or it is corrupted. If it is a multipart archive, you'll have to re-download the part that is corrupted. if you are unconvinced of WINRAR's ability to do a CRC, try using something like an SFV check or an MD5 check.

it isn't winrar's fault: you have a corrupted file. You can take the MD5 value for your version and compare it to the version from wherever you downloaded it (get your friend to do a MD5 on his,) to see if they are the same. There are proggies that will do an MD5 for a file... just search on google.

It's clear now, but some time ago, I downloaded a file compressed with 2.90 and I had installed 2.84, I get CRC errors. After upgrading to 2.90, the files were open fine... Remember this just in case... ;)

You must pinpoint every possible cause... :D

its only 2 rars with 3 files for each rar, which include a .bin which is the biggest a sfv and a cue which are small so theres not much i can do about it. :(

i can safely say that any game i play more than 1 or 2 days after i download, i will go buy it as soon as i get money for it. unfortanetly, im unemployed and i will have to wait to get a job to purchase my copy of warcraft 3, but as soon as i get the money im gonna get my hands on the collecters edetion. support the makers, that way they make more cool stuff for us to play.
