1WayJonny
There is a god. However, I really wish he died rather than quit. Would of been cooler.Oh, and l3thal, it's impossible to avoid his PoS songs. his entire style sucks. He's a disgrace. He is the picture perfect definition of White Trash. 586224280 Well im glad you know Em personally that you can make a judgement on him, just like any other source of media invading stars life's and making out to be how they see fit. Style is different and that what he owns, i perfer him being him then trying to make him a style you would like *sigh*
mufdvr3669
Good riddance, set back hip hop 10 years. 586221233 Explain how it set back hip hop 10 years please. With all the other content they sing about ice, bling, hoes, etc. etc. etc. being much more repetitive and monotonous. He actually told you stories and let you know about his life unlike others who rap about the same things over and over and over. There is a god  586224284 There is a god. The fact that he going is of little consequence to me! 586223905 Nice troll posts guys, why don't you go into a linux thread and tell them how much it sucks and how windows rules, or an XBox thread and tell them Sony kicks ass. Seriously nothing better to do than bash other peoples threads.
Scraggles
You don't have to know him personally to see he's Jerry Springer material. Have you heard the guy talk? Did he make it past first grade? His grammar is a joke. I've heard Indonesians that spoke better English than that scumbag. I don't like Eminem not because of what the media has done to him. HIs songs alone show what a waste he is. The guy sings about killing his ex wife. NO respectable human would do that.
1WayJonny
I think he may be stepping down at the right time, his first three albums were some of my favorite ever, but Encore was dissapointing, and while his cameos on other albums have been decent, nothing really impressed me like His first couple albums did. 586221229 True, Encore wasnt that good but it goes to show you that he just getting bored, he's still him and not gonna bounce back untill there is a reason for it. When you dont feel challenged you wil slack off

You walk into a police station with a song written by him, about killing the ex wife. However, lets say that *you* wrote it. You'd be sitting behind bars so unbelievably fast. Someone can go murder his ex wife tomorrow, and I would bet anything that he would be the #1 suspect. Why? Because he has expressed his motive through his songs numerous times. There could be someone else at the crime with a gun in hand and they would STILL think that scumbag had something to do with it. Anyone disagree? Just because he's rich and famous, hes not going to be touched by the law. Just like Puff Dandy, Michael Jackson, and OJ Simpson.

Did he kill his wife? No, its a figure of speech, you you should start going after your movies they are alot worse (i,e, drugs, sex, rape .... etc..) and then the director is a HERO but music no no no and you abviously didn't read what i wrote correctly. i wasnt defenind Em with you, im laughing about how you can say that and think its cool er funny but he cant

I could walk in to a police station and say "here's my poem. Look at line 6, it says I want to kill the president" and they couldn't touch me. It's just an expression of art. Eminem - 6 in the morning, has the begining cut out casue the FBI detained him for it and Eminem/D12 - Rap Game has the part about snipin cheney blocked out. which i have the orignal with all the lyrics there and you an then understand why they cut it out but yes anything else is freedom of speech

sanctified Veteran Posted July 16, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 16, 2005 Scraggles ur a phucking moron to say that. You wish he rather died? grow up.You dont like him? change the station, but dont say sh.t like that... 586224303 Funny. Eminem has said a lot of times he wish to kill a lot of people yet you dont consider him a moron. Talk about double standards. or open up your small mind and perhaps you'll like him. Theres a reason he sold so many albums... ok... 586224303 if you think talent its based on economical succes you are obviously shallow, end of the history. Based on your afirmations the Backstree Boys and Mariah Carey are more talented than Eminem.

csabo2
Sad how you have these anti-rap trolls come here and insult an artist who they have only heard at most, 2 songs of. I would love to see how people would like if I would go to the rock threads on this forum and say how rock is "suicidal" and bad for teens. If you do not like Eminem, then don't come here and post your hatred towards the guy and insult him saying he sucks. He is one hell of a talented guy. I agree totally. I've met and talked to him, I have more respect for eminem than any other man I know.. I wish I had a father like him growing up.
Evis
I think he influenced it much more than anything. 586221247 If he is reponsible for what Hip Hop/Rap has become then i'm glad his quitting. Music is in such a poor state. If you haven't noticed but MTV/Mainstream music must appeal to the majority and at the moment the trend is drinking, sex, nice cars and clothes etc. Once upon a time a song told a story, much like poetry. Now Music is nothing more than an entertainment void filled with unoriginal people trying to make a quick buck and force-fed promotion to appeal to the average teen. In turn making him an idiot that swallows everything trendy and cool and not thinking for himself. The marketers dream. I'm not Anti-Rap at all, it's just the majority of it has turned to ****. I consider Eminem as one of the better well known acts today so don't take this as a personal attack on him...
