nestrobber
An old chestnut, but which in your opinion is the shonkiest ? I had a lively discussion over some Heinekens with a good friend last night on corruption. My point was that sure there are "official" corruption league tables somewhere but at least with the usual suspects (Bangladesh or Nigeria), there is recognition that the problem exists. I reckon that it's the countries which are in denial and/or those clever enough to manipulate the surveys which are worse. My vote's for Malaysia. I hear from buddies who've worked there that things are pretty bad down there - but very well hidden. apparently there's also a bit of institutionalised race related privilege scheme. Evis
Probaly Nigeria, you could massacre an entire village and never do a day in prison because of some stupid technical ethincity glitch.
Nashy
I don't think you can really ask that sort of question. I know its asking for opinions, however, I feel that every nation in the world is corrupt to some extent. Even my stupid government here in Australia. Things go on behind our backs all the time, and that happens in every government. IMHO, that is corruption, keeping things from the people, not allowing their input, and just going ahead and doing things. Especially going through with things that the governments know will anger a lot of people.

Fred Derf Veteran Posted July 16, 2005 Veteran Share Posted July 16, 2005 [Thread Closed] This is only going to anger people (especially if America is a choice).
