Crimson Behelit
I get that all the time, and I do believe it's a bug that isn't exclusive to web browsers... I get the same behavior when opening Mplayer from the menu. I've experienced this bug across different distros and in both KDE (which incidentially has a feature to turn off launch notification) and GDE. In KDE you can also turn off the bouncing cursor as well (the cursor which is application-launch specific).

Crimson Behelit
there a way to fix it? 586223537[/snapback] If there is, I'm not the person to share that info... I never took the time to weed out the problem... however browse through the KDE control center and you'll be able to disable launch notification all together (or just the taskbar and leave the cursor or vice versa)... hell I even think you can decrease the duration of both launch effects... just browse through the control center
