My New Case. Taken me 4 years to get a new one :)

Recommended Posts

Well im pretty pumped because im starting upgrades to my computer

eitherway heres a screenshot of my new case

now this is probably nothing new to alot of you

but mine is one piece of ****e, midi case, I think it was one of the first ever made or something coz damn it sucks.

My PC is a P4 etc, but I never upgraded the case hehe so im pretty happy im finally getting around to it

eitherway mine is gonna be the big full tower case in the center

why a tower/server case when your not running a server or porbbaly even gonna need that much case space?

well basically I think it will look cool in my room and it will fit so perfecrly under the desk.

so heres the pic

the big full tower in the center :) :)

hehe good stuff! :)

I have the tower to the left of the full tower and its great. Don't worry about people trying to tell u to get Lian Li's and Antecs and stuff. As long as it has what you need I'm sure you'll love it.

thanks guys

I just think it will be cool to have a comp case that big

will be a pain if I need to transport it but nicely under my desk at the front so its in view for people to see it should look very nice

And thats about the only cases I have to choose from so I dont have to worry about those other models or styles you mentioned xeon. lol some choice would be nice I guess but having just the one set to choose from makes it alot easier :)

hrmm actually youve got me thinking now

these might sound like stupid questions but im really new to the whole "case scence"

here is the description for the case

OMNI FULL TOWER CASE 400W

now I have a P4 1.4GHZ

1. are there any problems with the powersupplies etc there?

2. My Current Case has a Heatsink and fan I believe, do I need this for the new one? Mind you my old one doesnt even have ventilation holes so maybe I dont? I dunno you guys are my experts as such, please feel free to tell me any and all the info

3. Am I worrying about nothing and its just a damn case and it will be sweet?

I'd say the powersupply will be enough. As long as its certified for a P4... Some motherboards require extra power connectors so i'd make sure the psu had them before you went out and bought the case. The heatsink fan is something on top of your processor to keep it cool and is generally connected to the motherboard but if not im sure you will have ample power connectors to connect it directly to the psu.

It's not the outside that counts... it's the inside that counts... what's under the hood, Osiris?

btw: Congrats on getting a new computer (if you got new parts, that is)

Cool case. I got a full tower too and that thing is heavy. I'm in the process of moving and my wife is complaining about how heavy it is. Why does she have to complain when I'm the one who has to carry it :p :p :p I also got the full tower for cooling purposes.

thanks for all your help guys.

I sucessfully got the case and did it all myself

sounds like a newbie saying that

but installing motherboards is the one thing I had never done with computers, but it was pretty easy as you usually find with computer stuff. eitherway was a win win, nice new case, and crossed the final frontier of computing for me :)

So thanks guys for all your help :)

Shes going sweet as for the record. The 'Wall' is up and running at full capacity.

Damn, I've got one of these towers I'd like to get rid of, since I like to go to my brothers and lan game often, and these things are heavy when filled and are akward to cary, but perfect if you don't move them often....
