Downloaded ASF file... now doesnt work?

Question

I downloaded an ASF file of Kylie's live in manchester webcast during the night from www.kylie.it When I tried to play it, it said: "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. The server name, shared directory name, or file name may be incorrect, or the computer where the file is stored is offline."

I don't know what to do. Apparently others have downloaded the ASF file with no problems... what did I do wrong?

It has something to do with codecs. Try download latest codecs and you might also want to download Divx. It may sounds odd but give it a try.

Windows XP Home, Windows Media Player 8...:p What else could be relevant?

Apparently, I have all the codecs as well, but I'll try DivX

few things, asf format can potentially use any type of codec..

as the rest suggestion download divx, and play the file from the divx playa

then it could be some other codec...

since I can't give u the link... just search goodgle for

Yeah I guess GetRight is good for corrupted downloads... do you recommend I try a different download manager and DL it again?? Mind you, this download took me about 14 hours. I am on dialup :(

OK I've just talked to a couple people and they say that theirs don't work either. Only one said his worked and he said it was an ASX... and after research that makes no sense. So I'm not sure if I should download it again.

Also, can ASF files be played locally in the first place?
