amoeba
I am trying to hook up an external keyboard (Dead keyboard on laptop) to a laptop. The problem I am having is that I need to use the Fn key (that key at the bottom next to the space bar) but the external keyboard I am using does not have an Fn key. How can I get around this? I am thinking some software or setting may alleviate this. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

sailgreg
I dont think there is an easy way, if you find out the ASCII number that the key sends to the computer you could use software to reperdouce it, but I think the BIOS handles that key not the OS so I think you are out of luck. Mabey you can get a keyboad with a fn key? On my laptop the fn key controls almost every thing so that sucks :(
