Not exactly abtm, I'm sure they aren't done sending out all of the invites so for those who haven't gotten chosen there is still hope. Of course, what do I know?

Last night, I was included in the first wave of invitations. Although I did somewhat expect to be, not to sound arrogant but I've been testing since ...perhaps Windows Millennium Edition (or thereabouts). Congratulations to those who were invited. To those of you who were NOT selected, better like in Beta 2 and Beta 3 (if it comes).

Just to make Guru jealous (like he attempted to do to everyone else here). I'll go post the tests I've been in.

Windows XP

Windows XP SP1/SP2

MSN Messenger (6.2-current)

Windows Server 2003 R2

Windows Server 2003 (SP1)

Office 2000/2003

(I don't count ME because it was a lousy O/S to say the least)

Who gives a s**t about which betas you were enrolled...

Oh, btw, I was in for Windows Update 4, 5 and Microsoft Update 6, Office 2003, WinXP SP2, and in for Longhorn... oooooh, I feel so proud, I think I'm gonna wet my pants... (pathetic)

Well, Microsoft is the person that gives a crap...

He was giving that example so that the person knew how he applied..

He didn't! He was just sent a "Hey, join this beta" from Microsoft from his other betas...

Lucky him. =)

*sigh*.

I have no beta-testing history and I didn't lie about my age (14).

I still got invited to MSN Messenger Beta even though I specified that I wanted to test Longhorn.

I just got my LH Beta invite yesterday, I was pretty happy. So they're still going out I guess. I was already betting that I wouldn't get invited.

I was beta tester for windows SP2 and windows server 2003

Windows XP Sp2 seemed to be an important sweeptakers for longhorn BT. I should've applied for that one.

Stupid question, but where do you send a request to be beta tester? I saw some link once, but that required an invite id...

I signed up for about a year ago, but guess what - i was selected as a beta tester for windows update - is that like the most uninteresting beta project or what? :/

My status is still Pending. 2 days now.

How long have others been waiting before status is active?

586239998[/snapback]

if you were invited via email then you are definitely in. What matters is how long they hold you over :p dont worry, the status will switch to Active soon :)

That's good news. Now to be more specific, who's in tech and who's in mvp? :)
