I guess I am trying to figure this connect site out. I would like to apply to get into the beta but under available programs nothing is listed. I've beta tested for them before but it was a a while ago. Any input on if I am doing something wrong?

Funny how a bunch of 13 year-olds got selected, but not me. I tested so many things for Microsoft ... I pity that Beta program, people are going to get kicked out ...

Once beta 1 starts, MS is going to be inviting more testers I hear. ;)

Don't loose the faith yet.

Oh and I was 13, but that was over 20 years ago.

Chaoserver mine still says "pending" :/

Asking persons to publicly disclose if they were chosen is against the Longhorn Beta program NDA.

Since I never signed an NDA, how can I be in violation of it for asking somebody else if they've been invited?

OK, so I know what you meant. But is admitting that you're a beta participant really a violation of the NDA? That seems a little weird.

Naw, the only time it'd be against the NDA is if it's an un-announced product...

THEN the NDA hits... As a beta tester... Yuo're not allowed to comment about unannounced content of a beta. However, if Microsoft said "Longhorn now has a pink boot screen!" then you can comment on that. But you cannot comment on it UNTIL Microsoft has either, announced that fact or that they've allowed you to openly state features on their program.

Is it too late to be picked now? I joined connect ages ago but alas, I expect I won't be chosen anyway.

Can I asked if it has been leaked yet? Or not?

MS Connect Down Again

" The Microsoft Passport Network is unavailable from this site for one of the following reasons:

This site may be experiencing a problem.

The site may not be a member of the Passport Network.

You can:

You can sign in or sign up at other sites on the Passport Network, or try again later at this site."

I went to sign in with my passport but it was down.

Plus, your grammar needs some work there. "it will have been a mistake?" What is that?

That is a grammatically correct statement. Why are you struggling to pick out tiny flaws in people's grammar? At least be certain about your ammo when firing on someone.

Still "Pending" and Next Action says "Decline"? :| What?

Yeah, everyone sees that. I'm a little worried, on the Chris Jones video, he only mentions MSDN on how to get Beta 1.

Bit annoyed that so many people have been invited to the Longhorn Beta and i havent considering I've been testing for MS for 2-3 years.

I tested Office 11 Beta 1, Beta 2 etc..., Windows Update 5, 6, Microsoft Update, MSN Messenger 6, 7, 7.5 plus other stuff.

Still hoping for that invite email....

Dear Microsoft Beta Customer,

Thank you for your interest in the BizTalk Server 2006 Beta Release!

Your nomination form has been reviewed and you are now registered in the program.  You will have access to the beta software and additional software via download, as well as the private newsgroup.

Huh? I don't even remember signing up for the BizTalk Server 2006 Beta

You got pwned. :(

Do you think all these invites will result in alot of pre-beta2 and rc leaks?

The Neowin rules are against Warez though. Not that I ever download things illegally - Warez is bad - I am running on a fully legitimate version of windows XP and have bought all the excedingly expensive software for my computers. Currently I have over $50,000 worth of software on this computer and I bought all of it, none of it's pirated. Nope.
