What should I upgrade?

Recommended Posts

Ok, I just spent $300 on a new video card. My system is -

Pentium 4 1600+

Nvidia GeForce 4 ti 4400

512mb RAM

Ummmm... LCD Screen with max of 1024x768

40gb hard drive.

Anyways, I still feel like it's not good enough. What am I missing? Can I get some help here?

Your system is fine, sounds to me like you just want to show off.

If I really wanted to 'show off' my system specs I would put them in my signature... :right:

sounds to me you have more than enough power on that dell to run basically any game with max settings... dunno what kinda sound card you have, but you could upgrade that with an audigy if you're really intent on it.

honestly you'll always feel like your computer is crappy, you'd have to upgrade literally every month to have the best shizzle around. like the next generation video cards are right around to corner, I dunno what your previous video card was, but if it was atleast a GF3 or Radeon 8500, then it probably wasn't worth the investment.

Thats all just my opinion. But hey, if you have the money to burn why not? ;)

Cheers!

How about a nice Soundblaster Audigy for accelerated 5.1 and Firewire connectivity?

A nice Western Digital 120JB or 200JB HD with 8mb cache

Whats your burner?...hopefully either a Plextor 40x or one of the new 24X-F1 format drives
