nicedreams
I bought a blue cold cathod light and it came with an on and off switch you can put on the case. The problem is, when I turn the light on and some times happen when I turn it off, it resets my computer. Like I'll turn the power on the light on and there it goes, just like I hit the reset switch. I have a brand new 420 watt power supply, so I know it's not the power. There must be some other thing wrong. I hope someone can help me fix this. It's a pain in the ass. Sick
Well, I have the a 420-watt supply and a blue cathode too, and the only thing I can think of just off the top of my head is to make sure that you have it plugged into the power supply correctly. But, just out of curiousity, where did you mount your toggle switch?
nicedreams
I moved everything around and now I'm not getting that problem anymore.

.....
it might be electromagnetic interference or something caused by the cathode my friend has an old, unshielded guitar amp, and when he switches it on, if its within about 3 ft of the pc it'll restart i've heard of other things doing this before, so maybe its something like that
