WLAN not connecting all the time

Recommended Posts

I have a Belkin 54G 802.11g (b+g compatible) wireless modem and router. 1 pc is connected via an rj45 crossover wire (PC1) the other 2 are connected via a belkin usb adapter. its a bit tricky when it connects anyway on my pc (pc2), but i got it connected earlier, was playing Guild Wars when i turned the pc off to go out. About 30mins later i came back in, turned on the PC and it wouldnt connect, but it seems my brothers was connected. I reset the router and mine connected, but my brothers wasnt. I enabled MAC address filtering and put in mine and my brothers address but my downstairs pc wasnt there, so that pc had no net for a bit. i disabled it and it seems to be fine now. But isnt that weird? shouldnt it just connect once its found the connection? i have WPA-PSK, but i dont like using the WZC as it just loops on "aquiring ip address, connected, not connected".

any ideas?

also, i have a sitecom wireless station adapter and i dont know how to set it up to enable my xbox to be online wirelessly.

thanks

Dan
