iconboy Posted July 22, 2005 Share Posted July 22, 2005 what was the thinking behinde "windows xp"? xp being short for "experience" i think it was a name to encompass the experience of using a computer now a days. everything from sending photos to family and friends, typing up a report or spreadsheet, to editing a family vacation or playing a game. What has happened between XP and Longhorn? The internet has become a HUGE part of all our computer experiences ona daily basis and i think Longhorn should definently reflect this. It should be a name that makes you think of global connectivity, but at the same time a small knit community like that of a family in a house or friends who live down the street.
