Raum
Immortal Technique is one of my favorite rappers. No, I don't agree with all his points of views, but his side is always interesting to listen to IMO. I thought I'd share a few of his songs, because they bring up many political points. His new album is coming out, and I remember reading an interview about it, saying the material he has would get the website publishing the interview shutdown if he gave it to them to post. Gonne be interesting to see what this radical has up his sleeve. http://www.lyrics007.com/Immortal%20Techni...e%20Lyrics.html This song is Peruvien Cocaine. It's a concept song, where each rapper plays a different character in the long line cocaine takes from central and south america to New York. http://www.lyrics007.com/Immortal%20Techni...h%20Lyrics.html Cause of Death, a highly political song. http://www.lyrics007.com/Immortal%20Techni...h%20Lyrics.html The 4th branch, a song where he describes The Media as a government owned outlet that's the 4th branch of the government. Interesting ****. If you're gonna read any of them, read 4th branch. Highly suggested you get the songs to listen to along with reading the lyrics, much more powerful that way. Well, let's hear all your opinions on these!
Starcom826
I picked the middle one to read first, but I stopped at "Cuz the United States sponsored the rise of the 3rd Reich." I could tell where it was going from that, and thats one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. France probably did the most to cause the rise of the Third Reich, unlike the United States and England which thought the Treaty of Versailles too harsh on Germany. [hxc]
so weird raum, i also enjoy immortal technique. a lot, listened to him on the way home from work today. i enjoy revolutionary vol 2. right now, even though both are really good. my favourite songs would have to be 'preuvian cocaine, harlem streets, the point of no return'. he's got really smart lyrics, about conspiracies... some stuff about the illumanati and the templar nights. i really like the inserts by mumia abu-jamal. i'm currently reading one of mumia's books called 'live from death row'
Raum
Yeah, the Mumia parts are cool. I liek the one where he goes on about errorism, and says something like, "Now do you really think duck tape is going to make you safe?" Heheh.
odious_m
I picked the middle one to read first, but I stopped at "Cuz the United States sponsored the rise of the 3rd Reich." May have been referring to (Grandpa) Prescott Bush's "sponsorship" of Hitler. http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1312540,00.html

Many companies profitied from the Nazi's DURING the war, which is pretty sick in a way, huh? That's what he's about, how he thinks the financial gain, that was obviously more important to these people than the fact that they're helping Nazi's acheive their goals of genocide and war, is sick. That's what I got out of it at least.
