My connect status still says pending? Is this what everybody is seeing, or have people been verified?

Pending is fine for now. They stagger the groups that test. The popular ones get it first, and the less popular ones get it later on. Just relax, if you have Pending status then guess what? You will be getting the beta! Its not a question of if, but when. Breath in, breath out...take some valium or something. ;) jk...really dont take the valium.
