Stick with the Windows DVD to instal it. The OS is sensitive in its current stage and might not react well with third party software/methods. You can of course try it and see what happens. Besides, I dont think that Bart has looked at Vista yet as it has no mention of it on the site.

MS Windows Vista Beta 1 INSTALLED

My Config:

>AMD Athlon64 3000+ @ 2.35GHz CHECK

>512MB RAM PC-3200 CHECK

>Asus K8N (Vanilla)

- Chipset nFORCE3 250GB Check

- Ethernet Needed MANUAL Instalation

- SATA Work OUT the Box

- Sound Card Needed Instalation

>Sapphire Radeon 9600Pro 256MB Advantage LDDM + DWM Activated and working OUT THE BOX

It's working fine actually...

No glitch

IE is pretty FAST in scrollings :)

You can make your own (like with windows xp) but if there's data on the drive, you'll lose it. I'd say make your own first to save the hassle.

oh, so it wont partition off an area with no data on it and install there so i can choose to boot to either one? damn... i dont have the money for any partition software.

(nice ave btw, that logo with the deer and the crown is my family crest, except the deer in my crest doesnt look ****faced)

You got me on that one. Ill ask in the newsgroups and see what they say, if anything. Don't hold your breath though.

What sound card do you have?

How did you install it?

I'm asking because my Creative SB Live! won't work and the drivers won't install because it says it isn't compatible.

Standby was one of those things that has been completely re-done. The actual target time for a system to go into standby is 1-2 seconds. The target time to come back out of standby is 2-3 seconds. So with the infinite number of system configurations out there, I would expect a few mishaps along the road.

coming back from sleep by was amazing on my computer. I pressed the power button and the next instant I was looking at the welcome screen. Quite an improvement compared to the 3-5 (at least) seconds it took on XP :)

If you are using a 64-bit OS Creative has some beta drivers and some final drivers that might work. Goto http://www.creative.com click on support - downloads - drivers to find them. (Choose XP x64 as your OS) Sometimes a fresh driver does the trick. If you are using a 32 bit then just try to see if you can download one for WinXP Pro.

I'm using 32 bit, and the drivers for XP didn't install because it said that my Windows version was incompatible. I fixed it though, because instead of using the Creative Install EXE, I installed the driver manually by browsing for the correct .INF file on the CD.

There's some free partition managers out there, check the free alternatives thread in the software forum i think.

As far as my av, it's the logo for what is prob the biggest beer in Nova Scotia which may explain why the he looks **** faced lol It's a stag BTW, not a deer (I took the brewery tour and they ripped some dude up for asking 'Why is there a deer on your beer?')
