generalnewbie Posted June 30, 2002 Share Posted June 30, 2002 What do people like more than buying things for themself but spending other peoples money.... and well i need your help and advice.. im gonna purchase a new HD with my next check and well im looking into the 100GIG + range and well i was wanting the best around for value and this is what pops up WD 120GB EIDE ULTRA-ATA/100 7200RPM W/8MB BUFFER - WD1200JB FOR $174.00 CAN ANYONE DO BETTER??? Joseph Zollo Posted June 30, 2002 Share Posted June 30, 2002 The WD1200JB (8 MB Cache) is without a doubt, the best available IDE hard drive. The 8 mb of cache allows it to perform at near-scsi levels. You could wait a month or so and get the WD 200GB HD, but i'm not sure if they'll make a 8MB cache version.
