xDarkstar
It says i'm missing a "hal.dll", I heard that some people who install new OS's will get that, because the boot.ini information is wrong. I googled, but it did not help. Any suggestions? Edited July 28, 2005 by xDarkstar

MidnightDevil
I don't know Virtual PC, but don't you have options to add disk drives? If u did that (I assume so), try to format it first with a floppy just to be recognized.

stephen_0002
nvm i figured out my problem .... i used this method... When you get to the ?Install Windows? screen, press Shift+F10 to open a command prompt. Type DISKPART at the prompt and use the following commands. select disk 0 create partition primary select volume 1 format fs=ntfs label="vista" After this I typed EXIT to leave the utility, reset the VPC, and started the installation again. more info can be found HERE
