Catalyst for Windows Vista Beta 1

Recommended Posts

Just released

ATI is one of the first graphic providers to make a 64-bit driver that supports the Longhorn Driver Display Model (LDDM) ? the Microsoft Vista revolutionary graphic driver standard ? as well as the first to provide LDDM drivers for integrated graphics processors. By making LDDM drivers available more than a full year prior to Windows Vista release, ATI provides developers with a stable, feature-enabled and performance-optimized platform for application development. ATI is also the first to provide Catalyst Windows Vista driver feedback via our Catalyst? Crew Feedback program.

i wouldnt count on many games working, make sure its a directx game because its more likely to work. Also just because one game dosent work, it dosent mean others wont. Finally, whats the error message(s) being displayed?

With all the fancy glass effects?

Weird. I just installed Vista on my computer with X300 and without any drivers, all my fancy eye candy was enabled.

edit: I just want to point out that with all the glass effects and everything on (without even installing the drivers) Vista IS running faster than XP. And I do believe this has nothing to do with the fact that nothing is installed on Vista, because I've dealt with fresh installs of XP recently and this just feels faster.
