Everyone does have this problem. Has something to do with User-agent string new IE is sending, and MU not supporting it.

lol, it does that when you change your illegal serial number becuz the original didn't work with the WGA check, and when you use the javascript trick, and other methods.

Windows Update works fine with the default illegal key, but still doesn't allow you to download, but the pages do load instead of a continuous search status.

I've been screwin with that since yesterday, trying different stuff out, with no luck, lol.

or how about it doesn't work even when you have been verified with WGA.

Jumping to conclusions makes you look stupid.

lol!!! I just looked in the mirror, and didn't see anyone lookin stupid.

Anyways, I already specified that I have the same problems with an illegal key, so why would I be jumping to conclusions.

And I've been verified by WGA as being legalwith an illegal key also.

Congratulations on using an illegal key, but just because you are, doesn't mean that the other people having the same problem are (hence the jumping to conclusions comment).

here for the guys with problems:

# Extract IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe with WinRAR (or anything that works) to a temporary directory.

# Open update\iecustom.dll in a hex editor.

# Navigate to hexadecimal offset 0x1034h(4148 decimal) and change 0F 95 to 0F 94.

# Save and execute update.exe.

# Enjoy.
