2. When you click the close button (top right), All the windows will close WITHOUT Warning :|

Microsoft need to make sure when people click on that close button, confirm with users that users would like to close down ALL tabs.

Cuz, I KNOW people would make mistakes and sometimes click on it by accident, and they didn't want to close all the tabs!

It would be a Better idea, if Microsoft Open this for a Public Beta, so many people say it sucks, so MS is going to work Harder!:devil:il:

FYI, for people complaining about some features not working (like the search function), you are obviously using an illegal hack of the software. Most of the features in IE7 work while in Vista. This version of IE7 was not meant to be pulled from Vista and is not a public beta. Reserve your comments to either IE7 in Vista, or wait until public beta.

FYI - Stop button and Refresh button are in the same spot, next to the address bar. When a page is loading, you will see a red X. When the page is done loading, you will see a refresh.

Yes it has a stop button.

it does...you just have to look more closely...

when loading a page look what happens to the refresh button to the right of the address bar...

The IE7 UI at first was ugly, but it has sort of grown on me and I'm starting to like it. Takes some time getting use to :/

im sure they'll improve it in the next beta and final release though

In my opinion it looks horrible. I only like the tabbed browsing and rss features added, the rest is just a shabby makeover imo :/

Frequent Quotes by noobs which should be filtered on the forum:

"The name windows vista sucks!" => "My Expectations were too high, my mind cannot comprehend any words longer than 'me' or 'xp'. I also am an eye candy ######."

"Internet Explorer Beta 1 sucks!" => "I don't know the difference between beta 1 and sp1."

"Hasta la vista" => "Bye" (mysql transaction delete the row WHERE UserID=x)

I love it, switched from Opera / FireFox (was seeing which I prefered).. But I love the Anti-Phishing feature in Internet Explorer (Great for an eBayer, like me) and all the other new features.. Tabbed browsing works great, runs like a charm.

This is really sweeet!...running like a charm. Kudos to f/fox for forcing MS to finally upgrade IE. I will always support f/fox but this little gem will now become the default browser.

There are some things that are annoying me more and more... such as the half-tab to create new tabs. The fact that I can't move my tabs in the order I want them (which is a feature coming in the next version of Firefox). Nothing big, but still... they need to do something with that bar when you only have one tab open, a waist of space in my opinion.

heh. very true. tabs need flexibility. that is why i love opera. would love to have it in firefox out of the box.

To me it just seems like regular old IE with some extra features. I'm still sticking with Firefox. :)

It is regular old IE, complete with the good old security problem, ActiveX.

People, when evaluating ie7 don't just concentrate on the look, make sure it complies with W3C standards. This is very important to the future the internet. Don't let microsoft screw over you with non standard compliance.

It isn't W3C compliant.

Firefox rocks. No compitation. If MS doesn't do anything about IE, they will keep loosing market share in browser battle. I have personally converted about 5 to 7 people and they refuse to go back to IE. I know I won't switch back to IE unless it is better than Firefox.
