I've never had much luck when it comes to Internet connection sharing. I heard it's pretty idiot proof in XP - but then in longhorn I've noticed some of the networking stuff doesn't quite work yet (causing me to revert back).

Perhaps you can try your luck with some of these queries I have googled for you:

Good luck man - When in doubt - use a router. ;D

I've had no problems with ICS before, but one of the big obstacles is getting the DNS settings right, depending on your connection, you may need to specify the DNS settings your ISP has given you, expressing these in the TCP/IP settings dialog on the other machine (not the machine sharing the connection).

Hope that helps!

In the tutorial saids I must leave blank the DNS on the second machine and on the second NIC card... so I put on both of them the DNS configuration of the Internet NIC card???

Gabureiru if wou want to give trwo XP internet i will tell you how...first u share the NIC card that has the internet after that ..the second NIC card will have the IP like this: 192.168.0.1 and the subnet mask like this: 255.255.255.0...the second machine should have the next configuration:

IP:192.168.0.2(or 3 or 4 or whatever)

SUBNETMASK: 255.255.255.0

GATEWAY: 192.168.0.1

DNS: your IsP DNS(the ones that you have on the First card(the one that you shared it)

Yes I can read. If you don't like my advice, that's not my problem. Just don't post about it pointlessly.

Anyways,

I thought Wingate *could* work with two LAN cards ... Guess I was wrong ...

But dude, he tried your advice before you advised it and it didn't work like he wanted it to. So basicly your advice does not in any way help with the issue he has.
