Installing from image?

Does the installer run right in XP?

I was told that I can just mount the image and install it but I wanted to be sure.

Also I have a bigger problem. When I try to partition my drive (which only lets me alocate 6.5 gig becasue of low space) using Partition Magic I get a 1527 error. So what is the next easiest way to partition my HD?

install vista from the boot. Then u will be able to manage partitions before installing.

(Didn't tried but should work.)

another option is to mount, and copy the entire dvd to your hard disk, and run setup from there.
