sunshock
yeah, no problem. use a UTP CAT-5 "crossover" cable, to connect two network cards together; make sure it is crossover though. the more common cable called "patch" cable is used to connect a network card to a hub or switch box directly, and is no use to you for this. with a direct connection like that you should hit 100mbs pretty easily, tried it at home and works fine. If it trouble after that, get something to read or set the IP addresses for both machines so they both know who to talk/connect to (unreal tournament should find the other machine pretty easily without too much hassle, good like that); anything else and there's tons of network gaming sites on the web to help you out. try http://www.practicallynetworked.com/ for starters, they helped me out setting up my network. good luck!

Max
btw, you can mod a n0rmal cable to be x-over, the sheath must be cut open and two wires must be switched over, not too hard, i am sure you can find a tutorial on it online. tis what i did, saved money. (oh yeah, and in the one i looked @ they had 100 crazy tools, i did ok with just a knife and some tape ;))
