Best screen capturing program

Question

Can someone recommend a screenshot-taking program that will automatically save a screenshot to JPG/PNG when I hit the Print Scrn Button.

I wanna get some WC3 screenshots for my buddies but the built in screenshot function is really crappy.

Just press the "Print Screen" button and paste in paint.

That doesn't capture what is playing in my media player... other wise, I would do that.

if you wanted a simple screen capturing program you could try the program i made:

http://download.com.com/3000-2192-9606674....tml?tag=lst-0-1

Gave it a try, while running a movie in the WMP player it only captured a blacked out area (where the movie was suppose to have been), just like with PRT SCR... anyone else have any suggestions?

There is one called IrfanView that captures the cursor and the screen, capture either the foreground window or the client one, choose which "hot key" to use so to capture the image at that time, and save it automatically. But it does not capture motion media. Get it at http://www.irfanview.com/. The site seems to be down at the moment. I am also looking for a screen capturing program that captures media.

Most screencap programs cant capture 'video' because they are directx overlays or something. There is one called Hypersnap DX that can, it can capture media player, powerdvd, etc, it is shareware though.

TMPGEnc can save anything to a BMP and then you can do whatever you want with it. Get verstion 12a because it can open WM files
