Known websites that have issues with IE7

Recommended Posts

Anyone have an un-official post or record of what websites currently do not work or render within IE7?

So far that I've come across:

Godaddy.com - Says the browser I'm using is too old or doesn't support web standards lol.

HP.com - The fonts are EXTREMELY tiny even with the View > Font Size set to Large. A way to get around this is to Tools then Options, then Accessibility, Ignore font sizes on all web pages.

How about you?

Everyone who uses GoDaddy, please write them a comment on that browser error page! I am a customer, and I'd really love to be able to use their site in IE7. I'm sure it's just a simple fix in their browser detection script.

"Your current browser version is no longer supported. Please click on a link below to update your browser to a supported version."

Winbeta.org Suspected Phishing Site lol lol

ibm.com -- I peaked at the source code.

I can't believe a big corporation writes such non-accesibility compliant CSS.

Fixed Font sizes galore.

Off-topic: Where can I find the refresh button in IE7?

I was looking for the same thing forever... there is no refresh button. But, I just learned that F5 does the trick.

try it out

 I thought it's a "Go" button though they seem to have the same function.

You will also notice that it changes to a "stop" while a page is loading

I got this e-mail from someone at Godaddy.com.

Dear Ryan,

Thank you for contacting Customer Support. Considering that IE7 is only in beta, I would continue to use the current full release of Internet Explorer 6.

Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

listen:

  • When a web page is loading, the button is a red X (stop)
  • when the web page has loaded AND the address bar hasnt changed, its two arrows in a circle (refresh)
  • once a new address is typed into the address bar, it changes to a blue arrow pointing to the right (go)

one button handles all three functions. That wasnt that hard to figure out, was it?
