Hiiragi Tsukasa
Installation took 3 hours and I only had problems with the sound which I fixed by installing the drivers for them. Glass and everything worked out of the box, expect blurring, but that was fixed after I downloaded the nVidia drivers. Beowulf IIWindows XP Pro SP2 & SuSE Linux 9.2 & Windows Vista Beta 1 // ASUSTek A7V600-X VIA KT600 Chipset AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton (2.08ghz) @ 3200+ Barton (2.25ghz) nVidia Personal Cinema Geforce FX 5700 128MB AGP 8x 1024MB PC2700 DDR-SDRAM // 160GB HDD 7200RPM // DVD Dual Layer +/- RW 16x Onboard AC97 5.1 Surround Sound Audio // Onboard Gigabit Ethernet[/b] Beta 1, like 5048 was a lot more stable than Xp for me even after doing pretty much all the stuff I do on Xp. At times, like downloading tons of images in Firefox, it takes significanltly less time between downloading images, and other times, like multi-tasking, or RPG Making, it gets choppy even with Aero Glass off, but Aero Express seems to be choppier than glass. Running Aero-Glass on 1600x1200x32bbp@75hz with no crashes. Edited August 3, 2005 by Kenta

dL
Mine is successful, took about 45 min or so. Got sound, video, WiFi working right away. However, I want to force my resolution to 1280x960, anyone know how? dL
#Michael
Mine went smoothly and everything works great except for my soundcard. Anyone know where to get drivers for a card based on via's envy24 chipset? It's 7.1 surround sound card.
stockwiz
Smooth installation here. Only bugs I noticed so far are when I change the settings to have every folder launch in it's own process, that messes everything up... also starting any java applet on any browser causes the transparent and fading effects to stop temporarily until I close the browser. Love it! Although most of it's just eye candy so far... xp in itself was good and rock stable.
