Argh, close IE7 with all tabs Open happen again!

Recommended Posts

This happens to me sometimes. I've done this atleast a few times. Usually only when I have a couple of windows open (right on top of each other). Though seldom it does happen. In Firefox you can set it to warn you when closing a window with tabs open or not. For those who seem to run into this problem often enough, MS may be advised to include an initial warning similar to Firefox.

how long are you going to complain about this? it's been 2 days now, this program isnt even meant to be in your hands.

get over it....for now, I'm sure it will be in Beta 2

You see that X button in the top right hand corner of your browser window?

Yeah?

That means CLOSE, it closes the browser program. CLOSE. X = CLOSE.

Got that one?

Now look down a little.... below the search box.

See that other X?

Yeah?

That means CLOSE THE TAB, it closes the tab your on. BOTTOM X = CLOSE THE TAB.

Glad we've got that sorted out :)

Good, that's how it should be.

Geez, IE, well as of IE 6 sp2 finally blocks popups, why have an annoying popup whenever you go to close IE 7 anyways, thad'd be awfully annoying.

But then again,I guess if it were an option that gives the user the choice to show the warning or not, would be a good idea I guess.

Personally, I hate tabs. Seems most people switched from IE to other browsers to have tabs, even though IE 6 could have tabs too, lol.

I like IE 7 for the speed, supafast it is.

heh, yea, that is true too...i hardly ever use the top x..

Jedi, here's an option you could try... Only use the lower X, and when u want to fully exit from IE, press alt+f4
