+Warwagon MVC Posted July 31, 2005 MVC Share Posted July 31, 2005 i'm confused, you install a BETA of Internet explorer (of which is built into the OS) and then your upset when it won't uninstall? you should usually only play around with this stuff on a test machine, not your primary one, and given how upset you are with what its doing to this particular machine, maby you shouldn't be testing stuff on it. all I can say is OWNED

Sn1p3t
Maybe you shouldn't play around with software you weren't selected to test. Their screens usually filter out adolescents like you.

EastExpert
... i mean IE 7 is always thereeeei tried a system restore but... it didnt work 586300872[/snapback] Normal uninstall as per procedure has removed IE7 Beta 1 successfully from my home computer with XP Home. However, if the uninstallation didn't really work for you due to some reason, you might want to download IE6 SP1 install ( http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downlo...p1/default.mspx ) and try to "polish" what you get AFTER the uninstall procedure has been executed, with a "Repair" installation of IE6SP1. No promises that would fix the problem; if IE7 parts still "magically" hang on, the 6SP1 might not work due to newer versions. P.S. Firefox does not work with Windows Updates either, does it. ;-)
exit
if the install files where removed for IE 6 if there no longer on the machine there is no way you can revert back. This was a issiue when 6 was in bata
