AVC Technology is a Hong Kong based company specializing in digital hardware. The Soul DMP-01 player is a Discman-shaped MP3 player with the capacity to hold up to 100 hours' worth of song playback. Many of you should have heard of SonicBlue's (formerly Diamond/S3) RioVolt MP3-CD player. What this means is the AVC Soul and RioVolt have almost the exact same performance profile.
