Spectre51
Anyone know of a way similar to the bootcfg /rebuild option from the command prompt to add my Windowx Xp disk to the Vista boot menu? I didn't install the sata drivers for my xp drive when I was install vista so it didn't know there was another install but now that things are up and running I wanna make an option to switch between the two. My Vista entry in the boot.ini is: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows Longhorn" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT /USENEWLOADER I have no clue what I would put in there for the sata xp disk. Any ideas?
HDW-mobile
Do you run vista also on a SATA drive? because in the boot.ini you can add the line for XP (multiboot) but for this you need to post some more detailed info about the system setup.
Spectre51
No vista is on a separate ata hard drive. if there were on the same drive just different partitions I could just change the line for xp to be the partition it was on. Where I am stuck is that it is a separate sata drive and I don't know how to format the boot.ini for that drive.
