Blob from TVForum
In Firefox, when I click on a link to open a new window it launches a new window and not a new tab. How do I set up Firefox to open a new tab instead of window. Thanks.
trigger_my_passion
Try this: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Tabbed Browsing -> tick 'Select new tabs opened from links'.
xpgeek
All that does is open the new tab in front. I think hes asking for, go to about:config, search for browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs and change it to true. Now in the options panel, advanced section, you'll see single window mode options, that can force all links that open in new windows to open in new tabs. If you're using Deer Park these options are already available on tabs section with no tweaking.
