petroid
A managed install of SAV10 caused problems on one of my computers; one of the helper services would cause a BSOD on startup. Easily fixed though in safe mode.

qkslvr221
can any one try ZoneAlarm please? I didn't get my copy yet, otherwise I would try it....... 586317331 No firewalls have worked at all, and i've tried just about every one! Majority will not even install, or cause BSOD at startup. Sygate was only one to install/boot, but it slowed bootup to a crawl even though it didn't run

adowling15
I used Avast 4.6. Thought everything was going fine until I started getting file structure problems on the HD. This may not be related but seems a pretty strange coincidence!! My first install only lasted an hour :(

sunbiz_3000
As far as we know, there are no viruses for Vista. 586374325 Just read the news dude !! The first virus specially coded for Vista is already out and even 2 variants of those are out !! :p And by the way, all of the viruses that affected Win2003 can still affect Vista. U could just ignore those viruses that used the earlier Windows exploits, but other worms still affect Vista!!
dagamer34
The virus you are talking about affects Monad, the new scripting shell which was supposed to be with the final version of Vista. Guess what? It won't be. Meaning it's not a Vista virus then, just a virus attacking Microsoft's new scripting shell. Too bad. :shifty:
