Newb looking to water cool...many ?'s

Recommended Posts

Anyone use the kits like the aqua stealth 2 extreme or the Innovatek, maxxxpert MXL-MIRO, space 2000. These seem to me a good place to start with water cooling i love thte look of the space 2000, and the looks of the rest of the Aqua Stealth 2 extreme but i love the connectors on the space 2000 and the innovatek. But it seems to me that the water block by Koolance that is Gold 200w i think, is a great way to go. Price is no matter i think i could spend anywhere from 150-300 USD for this option and not flinch too hard. Right now i am running an alphaPAl8045 and have 80mm intake and 80mm exhast with an enlight powersupply. I am really going for less noise so i can leave my comp on and sleep at night and more performance to get over the 2000+ plus mark im at right now with my 1800+.

I also am contemplating a raided config with the samsung sp8004h (i think raid 0), want to have the two become one for space and speed. these are supposed to be the quietest 7200 RPM hd out, supposed to sound like a 5400rpm.

and for a powersupply i am thinking of getting rid of the enlight and picking up the just cooler JCSP300. If i dont do that i am atleast going to mod my enlight to use a simular fan setup as the JCSP300. 25dba, cant complain about that, as long as the voltages are stable.

Looking at getting a waterblock for my Geforce 4 ti also and I really like koolances options for HD cooling and GPU cooling. thinking about some Tweakmonster BGA ramsinks and arctic silver glue/epoxy whatever it is.

So really waht i am looking at is taking my system down to 25dba PSU, some pretty quiet 120ml fans for the radiator im thinking around 36db hydrowave bearings. and whatever noise the pump makes and im set for nouise levels, the HDs should be not too noticable and i dont know. I guess i want feed back, anyone have better options, anyone use any of these things and like or hate them? I know samsung is not too well known for their HD's but heck im running dual 955df's and they are incredible. and all of my stereo equipment is samsung so im not too worried about HD failure when going with them.

I guess i just want some feedback on parts, what works what doesnt. any experience. I saw some reviews on some stuff on some other sites. which is what got me interested, but i dont know how biased the reviews were.

feel free to pm me if you dont want to post here.
