your best bet is to find out what task is pegging the processor and then report it to MS. they may ask for further information about the issue. if you're not a real beta tester, find someone who is and have them report the issue.

there is a known leak under some circumstances with svchost.exe process.

Thie is a Beta OS. It is to be used for testing only. It is not to be used as a main OS. Therefore, i recommend you reinstall the OS and start retesting fresh.

there is a solution to those running AMD processors that are experiencing slow Vista but fast in safe mode.

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRI...126001152.shtml

This is a driver for amd processors.

Install in Vista safe mode via. device manager and right clicking on the processor - update driver via. the "Have Disk" method.

This solution was posted by a nice chap called Mark at the following address.

http://www.pro-networks.org/forum/viewtopi...er=asc&start=10

All credit to him for helping out some people with similar problems. :)

P.S. I have a AMD Duron 700 and it vista now works nice and fast.

- NOTE: I know this driver is for K7 processors, so use at own risk.
