handyman
I just purchased a Asus Mobo and would like to know How I should have the setting set for a 1.1Ghz Amd Thunderbird processor How do I set the clock? How do I set the front bus? or is this done automatically
Quboid
It should set automatically, failing that you need to know what sort of CPU you have - 100 FSB or 133FSB. If it's 100: FSB: 100 Multi: 11 133: FSB: 133 (spot the pattern?) Multi: 8.5 133 FSB is faster, but you'll need RAM which can handle 133 (ie. 266 or better DDRRAM). As this only takes DDRRAM, and I believe there is no 2x100 DDRRAM, this shouldn't be a problem. Still, thought I should mention it incase I'm wrong about the DDR minimum speed.
