...and have pointless code shoved into your work and limited styling :)

Well, maybe. But still, it works for some folks.

Besides, Front Page is far less invasive in terms of cruddy code than before, and you can set it to not even screw with the existing code if you want.

And for the most part, you still have the tools to get the web site designed, configured and running, even without the very latest CSS options. Heck, Image Maps still work for exact positioning. People seem to forget you can still design some fantastic web sites with HTML 3 level code, after all.

Funny thing is he put out another piece backtracking on what he said.

That must have been because of the death threats some of the more "sensitive" readers sent him.

True, you can make nice sites with just HTML 3. But you can make nicer sites with CSS. Of course, if you have any sense of style :p

What I'm saying is: There is stuff you can do in notepad that looks a hell of a lot more pretty than you can make in Frontpage - if you know what you're doing of course. Which most web devs do. Check out this site. Alot of those templates would be very difficult and time consuming to do in frontpage without CSS - if it would be possible at all. Alot of stuff would need to be images - which would slow down page generation time and alot more code would be needed if it were HTML 3 - again slowing down page generation time.
